Hundreds of guests walked or rode their bicycles to the 6th annual FLOW Northside Arts Crawl along West Broadway Avenue in north Minneapolis on Saturday, July 30. During a typically sultry late July day, the event proved to be a cool place to chill out, dine, listen to music and peruse art from a variety of local artists.
The
Bike Walk Move table (below) was a popular hit among visitors seeking to earn a groovy green Bike Walk Move t-shirt by correctly answering clever questions related to bicycling and walking.
West Broadway’s own
Cookie Cart sold sandwiches and cookies (no surprise!) from a vending truck parked in the lot behind the Cookie Cart store.
When finished with their work, the teen employees of Cookie Cart enjoyed one another, the festivities and the warm atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Cookie Cart-stuffed kids enjoyed the chance to roam the multiple FLOW Northside Arts Crawl stations.
A new wall mural at J&J Furniture, 1808 Emerson Ave. North, and produced by
Juxtaposition Arts, features a painting of the area’s new
Nice Ride bicycles. There are now 11 Nice Ride stations and more than 100 Nice Ride bicycles stationed at prominent points in north Minneapolis.
